In closing, I have three questions for you, Brian.

I called Canada [sic] yesterday to speak to the person at Industry Canada who's been handling (or I should say, not handling) the situation.

The guy I spoke to (Jim Laursen) blamed Americans, said he didn't care, and said he planned to do nothing about it! As long as we have useless bureaucrats [ß Brian must subliminally have been thinking about his ‘Rot’ Riley!] who are more interested in the length of their lunch breaks than in actually doing anything to improve the hobby/service we will continue to see bad behavior on the air.

I've said it before, but I think we are very fortunate to have Riley Hollingsworth, who truly cares about amateur radio both as a hobby and a service. He's always responded quickly and thoughtfully to any question or need I've had [ß N.B.], and I think he's done a great job promoting civility on the bands. [ß Sure he has…. K3VR was on QRZ recently challenged [by James K9KXQ] to disclose the 'directing mind' behind the site, but instructively refused to do so....

Now, most of us were taught before going to Grade School, to always consider the source. When the source is anonymous, most of us also quickly learned to give the material little or no weight. And when the source in addition has an axe to grind--as this one patently does--some of us have even been taught to read the material 'contra preferentum'....

Such critical 'contra' reading paints a very unflattering picture of the directing so-called "mind" behind CMSPIRG. On all of the evidence contained therein, that person obviously is a cyberpath, arguably a sociopath and possibly even a psychopath....

The fundamental question then arises: why does Brian CROW K3VR constantly refer with approbation not only to an anonymous site, but also to one written by such an arguably disordered person?

Most amateurs have likely heard of electronic bias.

But, it would appear that most of the posters herein, with the notable exception of KB1FZA, K4RAF and possibly KE4TEW [I'm not sure of the last, because his post appears to have 'disparued'], have not heard of common bias or for that matter critical reading/thinking....

Bias involves unfair influence [look it up in the dictionary]. Bias/unfair influence connotes dishonesty. When bias in everyday dealings is unavoidable, as it sometimes is, it should be disclosed....

But, because bias is such an insidious thing, especially when undisclosed/covert [as it usually is generally and in this article/posts in particular], it is well settled at law that a mere apprehension of bias is disqualifying, especially in judicial/quasi-judicial proceedings....

This article [which already is an unprecedented 'second kick at the cat'] and the numerous posts herein by Brian K3VR, both overtly identified and arguably also written under the 'nom de plume' [would the real AM'er please stand up], are replete with actual bias, self-dealing and worse....

Baxter's "bulletin" has been notably absent from 75 and 20 meters since early summer. This is reminiscent of 1999 when the FCC was taking an active interest in Baxter's activities. Baxter disappeared for a period of two years, and later resumed his activities after the FCC turned its attention elsewhere. Baxter has claimed he was teaching high school, and he actually sued the FCC, allegedly for suggesting they had something to do with taking him off the air. Baxter lost the suit.

Thanks for the recording Bad Andy. I listened to it, and I'm going to speculate that this wasn't another pirate operator. I don't recognize the voice as being anyone in pirate radio. In my opinion, this was another bored ham operator, who was tuning around and for some reason, didn't like what he was hearing, so in typical ham fashion, just keyed up over the pirate and gave his every innermost thoughts on homosexuality. Interesting that if this guy wasn't gay, he sure had first hand knowledge of the workings of gay relationships.

I think the "fuss" over K1MAN is due to what I call the iceberg effect….
It's not just the $21,000 NAL the FCC issued [ß How is their Collection Department doing, Brian?]….
It's much more. We're not talking about one frequency. We're talking about 3890, 3975, and 14275. Quite often, Baxter occupied these frequencies 24 hours at a time. However, there's much more!
There is the constant defamation of other hams [ß We know, Brian, only you are allowed to defame.];
threats of lawsuits against people who have complained to the FCC [ß Ditto, Brian?];
there is his calling Riley Hollingsworth a corrupt and sleazy politician [ß History proved this True and more, Brian.]
(Riley's a good guy and a decent ham) [ß Shouldn’t the English formulary be ‘decent guy’ and ‘good ham’, Dimmi?].
There are the so-called Felony Affidavit Complaints sent to the Justice Department…. [ß Are you complaining because K1MAN didn’t Cc you at the Gettysburg bath-house?]
Maybe the fuss is partly because Baxter published an essay that called over 100 hams members of the Nazi party [ß I know that fairness is NOT your forte, Brian, but it was the “American Amateur Nazi Party” (AANP)].
Maybe people are angry that his transmissions wiped out two different groups of Boy Scouts who were working their Jamboree on the Air [ß Not true, Brian, at least as far as the group on 14.275 MHz was concerned—I know—I tried to warn them, on-air, in real-time, that they were responding to your ‘put up job’, a.k.a. FRAUDulent rebroadcasts of K1MAN.].
It's possible people don't like Baxter [ß Where does it say in your silly Part 97 that you have to be liked?] because he used his IARN "peace corp foundation" to solicit donations from hams, then used those donations to supply radio equipment to someone many have called a terrorist [ß Many?]….
Yes, 10,000 people died, possibly more [ß Do I hear 10,001 ‘QeerZ’ Petition fashion?].
Military analysts have reported that without the radio equipment Baxter supplied [ß Military analysts & CB radios?], the revolution would have been snuffed out in a very short time, with very little loss of life [ß Sure it would, Brian.].

One of the members of the group on 14.275 was good enough to send me an audio file with the VE7 station saying "America Deserved 9/11!"

I found the recent comments written by PUBLISHER illuminating and those supposedly written by a VE9PMI virtually immediately afterwards, scandalous.

Since the style used by VE9PMI was very similar to that used in the equally scandalous comment by OFFICIALOBSERVER (since removed) and was on the same off-topic subject [hint, hint], I decided to check the Canadian call-sign database http://www.rac.ca/ for VE9PMI. Surprise, surprise, to use Karol's well-worn-expression, the call-sign does not exist!

No worries, I then tried our trusty old http://QRZ.com and surprise, surprise again, the call-sign still does not appear to exist!!

So, I checked the VE9PMI attributes on eHam and found the name Joe McGuire. Using McGuire, I searched the Canadian call-sign database again using the name feature. Surprise, surprise again, there is no such name/call-sign!!!

Fellow Americans, govern yourselves accordingly and consider lending a hand to get rid of this scum and their 'protector' before it completely discredits us in the wider world.

I am the Publisher of Homesellers catalogue, the FSBO magazine referred to in a comment (since removed) posted by OFFICIALOBSERVER.
I only have two observations to make on that scandalous post.
Whilst OFFICIALOBSERVER on the one hand took advantage of the anonymity afforded him by this site--which arrangement I seriously question--he on the other hand flagrantly disobeyed all bounds of decency and protocol by attempting to reveal personal details, such as a private telephone number of his target. [ß Karol MADERA VE7KFM.]
This obviously was not inadvertent, but rather a naked attempt at intimidation. [ß Brian’s SOP.]
The second point is even more basic than that and relates to the fundamental right of the accused to know the identity of and face their accuser, especially in light of such blatant and outrageous lies as those perpetrated in the post by OFFICIALOBSERVER.
Why do I aver so strongly that OFFICIALOBSERVER is a liar?
Primarily because I know how to read Standard English.
Secondarily, because I knew my columnist (now dead) who was so scurrilously written about in the original article.
Because I also know how "brave" the columnist now doing this scurrilous writing was when my columnist was still alive.
And finally, because I know well my other former columnist, the self-same Karol VE7KFM herein.

Like I gave a crap about their childish run-ins. Then the "3" station indicated that they were having "high level" meetings about this with Riley, but I shouldn't be concerned. I basically wrote it off to "Kiss my a$$" and I'll communicate with any legal amateur in the world. Meanwhile I find one of the .275 gang later operating in the extra portion of 20 meters with general privileges......They need a life!

I have been part of a daily net (The Ohana Net) on 14.273 Mhz for about the past 7 years.
During about the past 2 years we were QRM'ed numerous times by ND8V and his cronies. I sent several complaints to FCC and never received a response.
Karol should be thanked by all the legitimate Hams for his Persistence and Perspiration in getting the FCC to act on those who maliciously cause interference.
Again, Karol's article is very true and correct!
