It's been really nice tuning into 14275, 3890, 3975 and just listening to others having a nice leisurely qso without suddenly hearing some buffoon rant and rave about corruption in the FCC or the ARRL or having a distorted tape recording stomping on someone elses communications.
I never realized just how nasty and mean-spirited those transmissions were until they were absent for a couple of months.
Baxter hasn't called someone a moron, or a Nazi, or a cheap and corrupt politician on the air in a long time. I sure hope the FCC makes this respite permanent.

Baxter's "bulletin" has been notably absent from 75 and 20 meters since early summer. This is reminiscent of 1999 when the FCC was taking an active interest in Baxter's activities. Baxter disappeared for a period of two years, and later resumed his activities after the FCC turned its attention elsewhere. Baxter has claimed he was teaching high school, and he actually sued the FCC, allegedly for suggesting they had something to do with taking him off the air. Baxter lost the suit.

Thanks for the recording Bad Andy. I listened to it, and I'm going to speculate that this wasn't another pirate operator. I don't recognize the voice as being anyone in pirate radio. In my opinion, this was another bored ham operator, who was tuning around and for some reason, didn't like what he was hearing, so in typical ham fashion, just keyed up over the pirate and gave his every innermost thoughts on homosexuality. Interesting that if this guy wasn't gay, he sure had first hand knowledge of the workings of gay relationships.

Since you are so troubled about my HF privileges, let me ask you this - did it ever occur to you that I might have had HF privileges outside of this country and under a different license at some point of time?
And as for the reason I never upgraded here - it is mostly because I am trying to limit myself in jumping into conversations like this one over the air….
Maybe one day I’ll go thru the trouble of showing up on the next local VEC session and getting the upgrade.
That way I can setup a schedule with my buddy, just few minutes ahead of the W1AW schedule and as soon they step on our QSO, I'll file a complaint with the FCC.
And once a year - a petition - just make the things more fun….

Honestly, looks to me you are starting QSOs and waiting on the frequency just so you can say later that K1MAN "forced you off the air".
It is apparent that you have some personal vendetta on your agenda and I really don’t understand why we should care about it.

Maybe you should try to become an OO? You would be in touch with FCC on a daily basis.

Maybe people are angry that his transmissions wiped out two different groups of Boy Scouts who were working their Jamboree on the Air [ß Not true, Brian, at least as far as the group on 14.275 MHz was concerned—I know—I tried to warn them, on-air, in real-time, that they were responding to your ‘put up job’, a.k.a. FRAUDulent rebroadcasts of K1MAN.].

Since the style used by VE9PMI was very similar to that used in the equally scandalous comment by OFFICIALOBSERVER (since removed) and was on the same off-topic subject [hint, hint], I decided to check the Canadian call-sign database http://www.rac.ca/ for VE9PMI. Surprise, surprise, to use Karol's well-worn-expression, the call-sign does not exist!

No worries, I then tried our trusty old http://QRZ.com and surprise, surprise again, the call-sign still does not appear to exist!!

So, I checked the VE9PMI attributes on eHam and found the name Joe McGuire. Using McGuire, I searched the Canadian call-sign database again using the name feature. Surprise, surprise again, there is no such name/call-sign!!!

Fellow Americans, govern yourselves accordingly and consider lending a hand to get rid of this scum and their 'protector' before it completely discredits us in the wider world.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I am the Publisher of Homesellers catalogue, the FSBO magazine referred to in a comment (since removed) posted by OFFICIALOBSERVER.
I only have two observations to make on that scandalous post.
Whilst OFFICIALOBSERVER on the one hand took advantage of the anonymity afforded him by this site--which arrangement I seriously question--he on the other hand flagrantly disobeyed all bounds of decency and protocol by attempting to reveal personal details, such as a private telephone number of his target. [ß Karol MADERA VE7KFM.]
This obviously was not inadvertent, but rather a naked attempt at intimidation. [ß Brian’s SOP.]
The second point is even more basic than that and relates to the fundamental right of the accused to know the identity of and face their accuser, especially in light of such blatant and outrageous lies as those perpetrated in the post by OFFICIALOBSERVER.
Why do I aver so strongly that OFFICIALOBSERVER is a liar?
Primarily because I know how to read Standard English.
Secondarily, because I knew my columnist (now dead) who was so scurrilously written about in the original article.
Because I also know how "brave" the columnist now doing this scurrilous writing was when my columnist was still alive.
And finally, because I know well my other former columnist, the self-same Karol VE7KFM herein.

received an e-mail from a "3" station [K3VR] nearby that frequents .275. I was told that I shouldn't talk with a certain VK [actually VE7KFM] station because they were affiliated with K1MAN. Like I gave a crap about their childish run-ins. Then the "3" station indicated that they were having "high level" meetings about this with Riley, but I shouldn't be concerned. I basically wrote it off to "Kiss my a$$" and I'll communicate with any legal amateur in the world. Meanwhile I find one of the .275 gang later operating in the extra portion of 20 meters with general privileges......They need a life!

When my kids get out of hand I say girls, girls, and make them take a time out in separate chairs in the kitchen. Suggestions that people attacked by these hooligans of the airwaves should simply high-tail it off to another part of the spectrum where they won't be found for some time are akin to suggesting that one should deal with the problem of bullying by running away and hiding. Sorry I can't agree. Most responsible people in Canada or the United States couldn't either, I suspect.
Bravo to Karol for taking the time to stand and fight for decency and respect.

Ham Radio brings people together. Sometimes it’s possible, sometimes not but I have never given up trying.
You will find me with the people others don’t want to talk to. I want to talk to everyone.

I have been part of a daily net (The Ohana Net) on 14.273 Mhz for about the past 7 years.
During about the past 2 years we were QRM'ed numerous times by ND8V and his cronies. I sent several complaints to FCC and never received a response.
Karol should be thanked by all the legitimate Hams for his Persistence and Perspiration in getting the FCC to act on those who maliciously cause interference.
Again, Karol's article is very true and correct!
